Lillian Jordan was honored, posthumously, as citizen of the year. For many years she demonstrating outstanding leadership and commitment to her Arlington neighborhood. She was known as “the guardian of Justina Road.”

She started a Neighborhood Watch, initiated clean-ups, assisted police officers with community policing initiatives, and formed the first Girl Scout troop in the area.
