National Night Out

participated in the 19th annual National Night Out.
The event focuses attention on Neighborhood Watch,
a grassroots element of the fight against crime.

Signal 94, the JSO's cable television show, lets you talk to
your police. At 5:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, Signal

will be live. Sheriff Glover and other guests will be in the studio
to respond to viewer phone calls.

Concerns of Police Survivors, also known as COPS, provides resources to
assist in rebuilding the lives of surviving families of law enforcement
officers killed in the line of duty. For more informatiuon, visit the COPS

PERCENT SATISFIED WITH POLICE
SURVEY SAYS
A public
opinion poll commissioned by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office
showed that nearly four of five city residents gave good marks
for local police.
The
annual survey, which was started in 1992, is part of the Sheriff's
Office reaccreditation process. It was conducted by Jacksonville-based
American Public Dialogue, which interviewed 538 adults Dec. 9-11.

sandwiches to sentenced inmates in Jacksonville jails. 3,300,000
sandwiches have been served as
